The prayer in congregation is twenty seven times superior to the prayer offered by a person alone".
(Bukhari)
In the 1980s, a vision was born among a small group of families in our community. They dreamt of creating a sacred space where Muslims could gather to pray, connect, and grow together in faith. Through dedication and determination, their dream became a reality as they laid the foundation for what would become the heart of our community.

Today, The Muslim community in Burlington continues to increase with an estimated 8,000 individuals. As community members grow, so too does our responsibility to meet their needs, and evolve with the requirements.
In our current masjidfacility, which is designed to meet the needs of our community at the time ofinception in 1989, We witnessed a remarkable increase in demands during the jumu’ah prayers; over 3000 congregants gather each Jumu’ah prayer for which we requiredto rent other facilities to provide a safe and reliable space for prayer. The increase in the numbers of our community requires the expedition to build our new Centre sooner rather than later.
Alhamdolelah, we've an exciting new chapter in our journey. With gratitude in our hearts, we have acquired 4.1 acres of land in North Burlington—four times the size of our current Masjid. With all necessary approvals secured, we are poised to begin construction on a state-of-the-art Islamic centre that will cater to the diverse needs of our community.
